West Yellowstone Ice Skating Rink & Sledding Hill. Skate rentals are available at Westmart (open 8:00AM-5:00 PM). The rink is located at Pioneer Park at the corner of Gibbon Ave. & Dunraven St. (Westmart is closed on Sundays. Please rent skates Friday or Saturday before noon for the weekend.)

Open Daily Scavenger Hunt Pick up your clues at the KNS Headquarters at the West Yellowstone Visitor Center at 30 Yellowstone Avenue and venture around the town to find the hidden treasures. Take pictures of what you find and show them to the coordinator at the headquarters by 2pm Sunday for your prize!

9:15AM Rendezvous Nordic Ski Race
Rendezvous Nordic Ski Race The race will be limited to the first one thousand participants registered. The entry fee includes participation in the race, bail-out shuttles along the course, aid stations, finish area food and refreshments as well as race souvenirs and promotional materials. The entry fee also includes admission to the Awards Ceremony and dessert to be held at the West Yellowstone Holiday Inn. Registration closes Thursday, March 5 at Noon. 10:00AM "Birds of Prey" Presentation - FREE
Join a naturalist from the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center for a presentation featuring live raptors! Meet some of our resident, non-releasable raptors and discover the adaptations that help them to survive our Yellowstone winters. Located at the West Yellowstone Visitor Center, 30 Yellowstone Avenue.
10:00AM Snowshoe Walk with a NPS Ranger - FREE
Discover Yellowstone’s fascinating winter ecology while wearing snowshoes. Join a ranger for a 2-mile walk into Yellowstone National Park along the Riverside Trail. Meet at the West Yellowstone Visitor Information Center at the corner of Yellowstone Avenue and Canyon Street in West Yellowstone, Montana. Bring snowshoes—no experience necessary. Also bring water and a snack. For information, please call 307-344-2876. Allow 2 hours for the program. A limited number of snowshoes are available free of charge from the Chamber or others can be rented at: Freeheel & Wheel, Bud Lilly’s and Yellowstone Alpen Guides. No more free snowshoes available.
11:00AM-noon M120 Kids Snowmobile Rides -FREE
Kids from 6 - 11 years old can try out a child-sized Arctic Cat M120 Snowmobile setup for a slow, safe ride. All children must be accompanied by an adult and the adult must sign a release of liability. Recommend snow boots and gloves. Helmets provided. New Location: Pioneer Park at the corner of Gibbon Ave. & Dunraven St.
12:00PM Kids Ice Fishing Camp - FREE
Ice Camp consists of in-class and on-ice fishing tutorials delivered by experienced, Pro and local fisherman. The curriculum promotes safety, conservation and environmental stewardship. Children should be accompanied by an adult and be dressed for an outside adventure. Only 25 slots are available. Pre-register on the Contact Page on the website. Free lunch will be served. Location: Kirkwood Resort & Marina Boathouse. (Directions from West Yellowstone: Travel North on US 191/US 287 8.2 miles, turn left - west onto US 287/Hebgen Lake Rd and travel 10.8 miles. Kirkwood Resort & Marina Boathouse will be on the left. Follow signs.) Families do not need to check in at the Visitor Center before arriving.

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery, magestic wildlife, and vivid color and sounds of Yellowstone. See Yellowstone National Park: Grizzlies, geysers, rivers, canyons and, of course, moose. 3 Showings: 2pm, 4pm & 6pm. FREE for kids 12 & Under, with reduced admission for adults when you show your KidsNSnow passport (passports are available at the Chamber). Located at 101 South Canyon, next to the Visitor Center.
2:00PM Afternoon Talk with a Park Ranger FREE
Join a ranger for a 45 minute program highlighting a fascinating aspect of Yellowstone’s natural, cultural, or scenic wonders. Program descriptions will be posted in the West Yellowstone Visitor Information Center (corner of Yellowstone Ave. and Canyon St.), and at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center at 201 South Canyon Street. Talks are free and open to the public. There is a fee to visit the rest of the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center.
2:30PM Owl Pellets – GWDC FREE - NEW
Dissect real owl pellets and learn about what these native predators eat during the winter months.  We will have limited amounts of owl pellets, but families can work together for this hands-on exploratory program. Location: Visitor Information Center, 30 Yellowstone Ave.
2:30PM Let’s Dress a Snowman. FREE
Kids will enjoy their snowshoeing skills and participate in outdoor games.   Show off your artist talent as we will decorate snowmen. Program lasts 1 hour.  Please dress for the outdoors and wear a snow type boot.  Lead by a Forest Service Snow Ranger. Meet at Pioneer Park - corner of Gibbon & Dunraven @ 2:30 p.m. A limited number of snowshoes are available free of charge from the Chamber or others can be rented at: Freeheel & Wheel, Bud Lilly’s and Yellowstone Alpen Guides.pickup snowshoes at Chamber and meet at Pioneer Park by ice rink. 6:00PM “Smores and Skating” - FREE** Join the fun from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the West Yellowstone Ice Rink. Warm-up with hot beverages, toast some marshmallows, and make your own S' more. All the fixings provided. Bring your own sled for our Kid's Sledding Hill. Or, try out West Yellowstone's ice skating rink. Skates available. Old-fashioned family fun for everyone of every age. New Location: Pioneer Park at the corner of Gibbon Ave. & Dunraven St.

Registration from 9:00-9:45am. Games begin at 10:00am All skiers 13 & under encouraged to attend. Relay Race, Obstacle Course, Musical Chairs & More. $10 entry fee. Location: Between Rendezvous Trailhead Building & Povah Center. www.skiwestyellowstone.com
10:30AM “Finding Animal Tracks: Snowshoe Adventure” - GWDC
Use snowshoes, GPS, and compasses to seek out animal tracks in the snow.  Dress to be outdoors! This is a guided program with a limited number of snowshoes available free of charge from the Chamber or others can be rented at: Freeheel & Wheel, Bud Lilly’s and Yellowstone Alpen Guides. Reserve snowshoes on the Contact Page.  Feel free to bring your own snowshoes as well or trek on foot.

2:00PM Ski Basics FREE
Wouldn't you love to learn a new winter sport? Children will learn basic skills from a local ski instructor that encourages them to try cross country and even downhill skiing. Children already skiing are welcome to attend to improve their skills and practice. The time will be spent on a groomed trail at Pioneer Park. Please pre-register on the Contact Page and indicate sizes if you need boots and skis.
2:30PM Snow Wall of Art – FREE - NEW
Break out your creativity and create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece on the snowy white canvas. Kids will be given a spray bottle full of water that is tinted with food coloring to decorate a snow wall. All ages welcome. Location: North east end of Pioneer Park near skating rink.
